They come from different countries, speak different languages, have different jobs, and believe in different religions. They probably don’t even know each other. By chance, they are waiting for the same bus at the same station at the same time. They will probably never meet each other again. By chance, they adopt similar postures.

The following verse popped up in my mind:
"In the last days ...
He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore."
Isaiah 2:4
Let us, in our small ways, work to realize a foretaste of such peace in our communities.
I have to admit that I snapped the picture originally because of the woman's pretty headscarf and posture. I was struck by the contrasts between them only when I studied the picture later.
