Mid-Autumn Festival - Globally

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for reunions particularly of the family kind.

While my wife and I are in Hong Kong, however, our three daughters have all left home.  One is in Hong Kong.  The other two are in San Diego and San Francisco.  Our immediately family members are mostly in Hong Kong, Toronto and Los Angeles.

Since we have moved around quite a bit, we have significant clusters of friends in Rochester (New York), Madison (Wisconsin) Toronto, Ottawa, …

Physical reunions are hence getting more and more difficult.  Fortunately, the Internet has made it easier to connect virtually.  It is, of course, not as good as the real thing.  But easier than writing letters through snail mail.

So, Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to you all, wherever you are!  Food is one thing that ties us together.

Note:  金腿 refers to 金華火腿月餅 mooncake with ham and nuts).
