I dare not pray for complete eradication of the pandemic
for it may not be realistic
and even if one is gone, another may yet come
I dare not pray for complete world peace
as long as we are selfish, greedy and envious
I dare not pray for a completely just society
as long as we are prejudiced, bigoted and harbour hatred in our hearts
But I do pray for God
to help me care for people who are in need
that I become an agent of peace
that I have the courage to stand up for justice
that I be truly motivated by faith, hope and love
That we all become worthy of peace and justice.
