When a 19 year old girl is killed by a soldier’s bullet?
with dozens more dead
and most likely more to come?
When people suffer from injustice
and then are sent to prison for complaining?
When people are stripped of their rights
so that powerful people can stay powerful?
When people are beaten
and then sent to prison for reacting?
When people lie to get into power
without any consequence even when it is exposed?
When, out of arrogance, people make bad policies that hurt millions
and then blame the victim for insubordination?
When people are put in prison
for speaking their minds?
When bad people gloat
over the victim they have beaten for no good reason?
When people who speak for the victim
are themselves persecuted?
God, don’t you care anymore?
