My father used to make spacial lanterns for us for Mid-Autumn Festival. When we were small, living in a small brick house on the side of a mountain in Kennedy Town, right above a pig sty and slaughter house.. I vaguely remember a rabbit with wheels, a star fruit, …
Now I make my own, in honour of my father.
Like him I use recycled material as much as possible. The frame is made of wooden coffee/tea stirrers.
The calligraphy is my own. The words are lifted from my favourite poems.
This is guaranteed to be unique, the one and only one in the world.
