Apparently, we are the first ever foreign group to visit Kinyana Primary School just outside Kigali. Naturally they are very curious about us. They touch our hands, ..., and pull on our students' long hair!
They also love cameras - having their picture taken and looking at photos. Hence I suggested to our team who are teaching English assisted with IT to incorporate photo-taking into their teaching last evening. I was pleasantly surprised today that they actually did. They designed a game in which the children had to identify letters of the alphabet and then take photos of the letters. If the children had difficulty identifying a letter, they can look in up in an iBook that our students created. It is gratifying when your students take your suggestions and implement it successfully. The children were evidently having a lot of fun learning.
