The Pantheon is the first thing that I want to see in Rome. A 142 foot tall concrete dome, with a hole in the middle, built 2000 years ago, that is still standing and intact. It has since inspired, been copied and imitated. But how did its creator conceive and build such a thing in the first place? Perhaps it was also inspired by something else? Fascinating.
