A friend called on us at our window. This is commonly called 麻鷹. But it is really a Black Eared Kite (黑耳鳶). They seem to like to circle around tall buildings, particularly those with glass-covered faces. Perhaps it is because the warm air rises along the face of these buildings, helping them to soar effortlessly. They are a majestic sight, always making me wonder what it must be like to be able to fly serenely like that.
