Do you recognize this DaiPaiDong? How long was it since you last ate at one of these? Yesterday? Last week? Last month? Last year? Many years ago? Never? They are probably no more unsanitary than the cheaper restaurants. But you get to watch your food being cooked, and eavesdrop on interesting conversations of real people. So why not?
This one is in YouMaTei, one of the few remaining in the district. Most of them, such as this one, has moved into temporary markets or cooked food centers, and are no longer actually on the street. Most of the ones remaining on the street are in Central and ShumShuiPo.
